Guest article by Professor Robert Rogowsky from Georgetown University on US-Brazil Free Trade Agreement.

Professor Robert Rogowsky, Ph.D., from Georgetown University has been attending the event ‘Innovation, Leadership and Government in Brazil’ (ILG Brazil) organized by CEST, Georgetown University and ENAP (National School of Public Administration) for the past three years.

In addition to acting as Adjunct Professor of Trade and Commercial Diplomacy at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Services, he is also Professor of Trade and Development, Monterey Institute for International Studies.

In ILG´s last edition, which occurred as a 3-module program from November 5 through December 5 at ENAP, Professor Rogowsky wrote an article for CEST about the opportunity for the United States and Brazil to explore closer economic ties starting in 2019. According to the professor, there are studies showing that Brazil has great potential for growth by opening its market to global competition, especially with the US.
